The first week of starting university me and my friend Martina had left on a Sunday excited about moving to Southampton to start our new course in Make-up and hair design. The image below is the first picture we took to start our new journey in life to Southampton as this was the first time both of us was going to live away from family outside of London.
While we was driving towards the motorway all excited and anxious to get to Southampton the unexpected happen the car tire had puctured and my dad had to call the AA as his spanner broke while changing the tires. This made us more nervous and worried as I had booked a certain time for the car to be parked in the halls and my parents had to be at the TV station to perform there life show back in London at a certain time so the time schedule was tight. Everything had been fixed once the AA team came and we was on our journey to Southampton.
Once me and Martina reached to Southampton we finally set up the room and walked around and introduced ourselves to everyone we was very tired where neither of us had much sleep the night before due to the excitement of starting university but we was convinced by friends in the residence to go out for the night and party on our first night in Southampton which me and Martina did.

On our first day at university we all brought in our moodboard and summer project and got in to a group and spoke with each other about where we would like to be in five years and asked other random question on random stuff so that we could get to know each other I asked my group what would be the one makeup item they would take on a dessert island the answers was amazing and each explained why that's the only item they would take with them. When it came to speaking out for the group I explained to the rest of the class about each of the person where they would like to be and what be the one makeup item they would take on a dessert island the class enjoyed hearing each persons 1 item and why and then the rest joined in. I had fun in that discussion really got to know everyone from Hair and media Make-up.

On our second day we was asked to make masks on brown paper bags and using different materials to express where we would like to be in five years on my one I made a masquerade as I wanted it to symbolise TV and Fashion. We walked around with it in university taking mask selfies in the strangest places it was a lot of fun!
Toward the end of the night me Martina and Lauren decided to go out to oceana for the night as we had found out there was a special event going on. I have had so much laughs on this night it is a night I will never forget and how the three of use all crashed in my room. Good friends are made from great memories.
During induction week he was visited by Kryolan and Illamasqua they both came in to give us more in-depth details about the products and different types of skills on how to create and what products we could use from their range to create the look. I really enjoyed Kryolan and Illamasqua visit as we got to know about the oppertunities we could take part of the different types of competition and their own personal experience on how them theirselves got in to the makeup industry and the advice they had given us so that we could become successful within the industry.
