Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett worked on two movies acting as Queen Elizabeth I she did her first move in 1998 called Elizabetg and then did a sequel in 2007 called Elizabeth The Golden Age. The movie was written by William Nicholson and Michael Hirst and it was Directed by Shekhar Kapur. Jenny Shircore was the hair and makeup designer and the costumes was designed by Alexandra Byrne. Elizabeth is about when Queen Elizabeth I was young and became Queen afterher sister Mary and about the troubles she faced by the church and by Spain. It also elks us about how she was in love but she got betrayed by him after finding out he was already a married man and then she decided to marry her country and people and that's how she became the virgin Queen. Elizabeth The Golden Age is about Queen Elizabeth in her older days where she goes to war to protect her empire as her cousin Mary Stuart conspires with Phillip of Spain to take her throne. I think Cate had played the role of Queen Elizabeth I very well she had won many awards for her role in the movie.

Bette Davis 

Bette Davis first played Queen Elizabeth I in 1939 the movie was called The private lifes of Elizabeth and Essex. This movie is a historical romantic drama, it is about the relationship between Queen Elizabeth I and Robert Devereux. The director of this movie is Michael Curtisand the makeup artists is Perc Westmore. Bette Davis shaved her hairline 2 inches back for the movie so her forehead could look like Elizabeth I under the wigs that was made for the movie.

Bette Davis then worked on another movie about Queen Elizabeth I called The Virgin Queen in 1955 the movie is about the Queens relaitionship with Sir Walter Raleigh where he tries to start this new world. In this movie Bette did not shave her hair she wore a baldcap.
