This is my self portrait I took while I was on my two day training at the Dorchester in London. I am currently workin at Dior as a makeup artist I decided to apply for them as I loved Christian Dior and his passion to make women look and feel beautiful which is what I want to do. After having my interview for Southampton solent university with Sharon and discussing who is my favourite fashion designer I spoke to her about Christian Dior and then I realised I wanted to actually be part of Dior and become a Dior ambassador so here I am now. The uniform I am wearing represents my professional work uniform as a makeup artist, my hair is tied back and my makeup is the iconic vintage look with the winged eyeliner and red lips I believe looking well presented as a makeup artist is very important. The objects I have on the table is perfume which I believe a finishing touch to a look, I also have makeup which represents my passion and love for makeup, I have nail colours which I love myself and I strongly believe that your nails should match you outfit and makeup, I have envelopes/ invitations which represents spreading the word and putting myself out there as a makeup artist to invite people to let me make them feel beautiful and I have a gift box on the table which represents I am gifted with the great oppertunities in my life and talent of creativity. In the background on the tv screen it says the future is bright this I thought would look amazing in this picture but I am looking forward to a bright future when I can express my creativity within the industry and reach all my dreams and goals in life.
