Research an image of Elizabeth and write what inspires you

The Ditchley Portrait, Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger, c.1592

This image really caught my eyes because its a very interesting image Queen Elizabeth is standing on a world or a map and on the leftside there is sunshine and behind her is a storm. To me it looks like she is facing away from the storm and is looking towards the light. Her feet are on England and is mainly on Oxfordshire maybe a place where she is forgiving or is happy about. She is wearing a white dress with pearls to me that means purity, wedding, angelic and the thing behind her dress it looks like to me like wings as if she was pure as an angel sent from the heavens. There is a rose that could mean that she is still young and blooming like a Queen should and it could tell us about her age in this portraiture that she is still young. On her dress there is the Tudor rose that she is showing that she has every right to be Queen as she is the daughter of Henry VIII and people at that time did not beleive she had any right to be Queen as she was Anne Boyelynn was her mother and they considered her as a bastard child so she is stating her rights. Around her neck she is wearing jewels and more pearly this yo me symbolysis wealth and riches. She is holding a fan in her hand this could symbolyse how wealthy she is because from my previous research I found out that only the rich held a fan in thier hands. Sh also has a pair of gloves in her other hand to me this symbolysis strength and army because only the army wore gloves in that era. This image is a very beautiful and powerful image im not sure if this image was created after a war with the spanish.

After writing my view on this image i did a little research on this portrait as I wanted to know what its true meaning was so in the video below shows what the meaning of it is.
