If I could.... I would!

During the summer holidays we was given a summer project to do. In the summer project we have two tasks for my first task I had to create a moodboard to visually show where I would like to be in the next five years.

Since I was 13 my dream is to become a professional make-up artist and have my own make up line and company. It took me awhile to finally take the path I am on now I had first studied media, digital film and video production, business and IT. While I was at university studying film and video production I had started my first job outside of the family business into a Japanese skincare company called DHC which is Japan's no1 skincare company. While working and training for DHC that is when I finally realised that I was not studying or doing what my heart actually wanted and that's make-up is where my passion really was. So here I am now studying make up and working in a make up company and finally doing what I was always destined to do. In five years I want to work within the make-up industry, I also want to work on different fashion shows, I want to travel across the world to work on different film sets, I want to make my name big is the make-up industry and then eventually open up my own cosmetics line. During my own time I want to work on making video blogs by making YouTube videos also do blogging as well and I want to inspire and learn myself and teach others new things. There is one thing I did not add to my moodboard and that is I want to graduate from university and make my own parents proud and my grandmother proud who is not with me today but always will be with me in my heart.

My second task was to analyse and review two movies from a list I was given and the first film I had chosen is
                                                       Breakfast at Tiffany's

The movie was made in 1961 this is a comedy romantic movie starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard. Audrey Hepburn plays a character who is a fashionable sexy, strong and independent. When I watched the movie her role confused me at first when the opening scene came on she looked like a Woman who lived a wealthy lifestyle but  when they showed her apartment I was not sure what to think of her. She definitely wanted a man for just money what we call a gold digger but her reson was to support her brother who was currently in the army and because of her bad past where she had to steal food for her and her brother. I think back then and even in our generation there are women out there who would do anything to live a wealthy lifestyle or marry a man for his money and totally ignore there own feelings as the money is the motive. Her hair and clothes was very classy I loved her black dress with the long black sleeves, pearls and glasses. This look was a definately a fashion icon and even celebrities now and people still make there own version of this outfit in this generation. The people behind the beautiful iconic outfits are Hubert de Givenchy, Edith Head, Pauline Trigere and Joan Joseff. The makeup was softly smoky eyes and light colour on the lips the make-up was done by Wally Westmore. The hair was in fashion back in the 60's to have a beehive or updo Audrey's hairstyle was continuos she pretty much had the same updo but the hair from the back was either put down or put in to two pigtails the hairstylist behind this beautiful iconic style was Nellie Marley.

My second chosen film to analyse and reviews is
                                                   The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby was made in 2013 it is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald novel The Great Gatsby the genre is romance and drama. The movie is set in 1920's and played by Leonardso Dicaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki. The movie is about the roaring 20's when people started to have this lavish grand parties. It shows the society back then and how people use to live larger then life lifestyles but I feel like the movie was exaggerated a bit too much and the music by Jay Z did not fit the movie at all. The outfits worn was beautiful classy dresses and flapper dresses, backless dresses, dresses covered in sequins my favourite dress out the movie was the crystal dress made by Catherine Martin Prada all covered in crystals and furr this was a very extravagant dress all of the dresses and costumes was made by Catherine Martin Prada. The hair in the movie was short hair and they wore headbands, hair pieces, crystals and feathers on their head with short straight or curly hairstyles. The hairstylist who worked on the hair was Kerry Warn. The makeup was strong dark black smokey eyes and burgundy red lips very strong makeup flawless looking skin and the make-up artists and designers were Maurizio Silvi, Lara Jade Birch, Sian Grigg, Luann Claps, Wizzy Molineauz, Mateo Silvi and Brydie Stone.
